I loved the poetic justice of this moment. Iroh II frees Aang’s gorgeous statue of the besmirching it suffered at the hands of the Equalists, just as Iroh I frees the Earth Kingdom palace walls of the mark of the Fire Nation’s conquest of Ba Sing Se during the return of Sozin’s Comet.
